As a pioneer in outdoor tiles, Beata Ceramics is equipped with an elite and highly capable R&D team that masters core material formulation, surface texture design, and body structure optimization. We possess a full set of sophisticated, multi-layer production processes—covering surface treatment, body composition, particle layout, color matching, and structural design. The flexible combination and arrangement of these processes can realize hundreds of process solutions, enabling us to support high-standard customized development and stable mass production for global customers.

Meeting Customer Requirements With R&D Capabilities

This month, our company welcomed a key client to visit the factory for a site inspection. During the inspection, the client gained a deep understanding of the product characteristics, technological advantages and production capabilities of our company's Full Body-Macro Color Particles Series of porcelain paving tiles. Based on the actual application requirements of his project site, the client proposed a brand-new product development cooperation concept.

With a keen insight into the building materials market, the client is optimistic about the application prospects of traditional natural terrazzo. At the same time, in response to the industry pain points such as high cost and limited application scope of natural terrazzo, relying on our company's mature Full Body-Macro Color Particles technology and a professional and strong product R&D team, the client proposed to jointly develop a new type of  porcelain terrazzo tiles product, which can perfectly replace natural terrazzo.

Coincidentally, we previously produced custom terrazzo-look outdoor tiles for one of our projects, matching terrazzo's surface and side appearance. As shown in the two attached pictures below.

Traditional Terrazzo VS Imitation Terrazzo Tiles

Compare the differences in performance, price and lifespan between natural terrazzo and porcelain terrazzo tiles:

Overall cost of natural terrazzo is high. Natural terrazzo is fully compacted with large aggregate particles. After being made into big blocks, it goes through cutting, polishing, waterproofing and other complex processes. High material and processing costs push up its price. It also requires sophisticated packaging for transit, costing over 20 US dollars in total for one SQM. Moreover, the maintenance cost of natural terrazzo keeps increasing in the long term. It requires regular polishing, sealing, and anti-fouling maintenance, resulting in a consistently high total cost throughout its entire life cycle.

Beata Ceramics’ terrazzo porcelain tiles can not only fully replicate the effect of natural terrazzo, but also have excellent compressive strength and wear resistance with low water absoption rate (<0.5%), and only require simple daily cleaning by just water. Also offer significant cost advantages, just half the cost of natural terrazzo nearly($11~16 for one SQM).

Reappearance Of Customization Process

Based on the client’s requirement to precisely adapt to the customized standards and actual application scenarios of the projects, our R&D team has been continuously refining and testing the terrazzo-look ceramic tiles samples. After three rounds of version upgrades and based on the detailed adjustments made according to each round of customer review, a mature finished solution that fully meets the customer's requirements in terms of appearance texture, performance and product quality has finally been implemented.

R&D version 1

Closely replicate the texture of natural terrazzo, confirm the color of the porcelain outdoor tiles’ body. It strictly created a pure matte surface effect according to the customer's requirements, while optimizing the anti-slip performance and meeting the R9 anti-slip grade standard.

R&D version 2

Incorporated irregularly cut large-sized aggregates into the tile body, which is very similar to

the traditional terrazzo tiles.

After the white sample was approved by the client, they requested customized grey versions, which our R&D team successfully developed and won high recognition from the customer. We had a pleasant discussion with the client during our meeting with samples on hand.

This customer's innovative idea is a high-level recognition of our company's strong technology and R&D capabilities on outdoor porcelain tiles. We welcome your creative ideas, and we can help turn them into reality. The customization process is as follows:

Focusing requirements

Send us your requirements. We will confirm your needs about your stone paver tiles regarding patterns, surface finishes, body technology, and specifications (including thickness), and provide professional recommendations based on your application scenarios. Any customized packaging requirements can also be confirmed at this stage.

Cost calculation and MOQ confirmation

We will calculate the relevant cost according to your demands. Generally, if adopting our existing processes without new mold development, the cost and MOQ will not be much higher than our regular in-stock products, with a standard MOQ of 2,000 square meters. However, mold development will incur higher costs and a larger MOQ, which will be quoted specifically as per your needs.

Finalize the solution by both parties

We provide free small sample production for your customized outdoor tiles in the size of 15×15cm. If you require samples in your customized specifications, a sampling fee of 70–150 USD will be charged, which can be deducted from the balance of your final order. Once the sample is approved, mass production will be arranged after receiving a 30% deposit.

Let’s make something fun together.
