Slate Tiles Outdoor

Beata Ceramics’ newly launched fancy slate tiles outdoor, product ID: BKT77, is belongs to our newly researched full body-macro color particles series. This tile replicates a high-grade architectural slab of basalt named Fuding Black, and serves as an ideal substitute for natural Fuding Black.

Why Is It an Ideal Substitute?

Fuding Black is renowned for its jet-black hue and dignified, elegant texture. Suitable for municipal engineering, architectural decoration, environmental landscaping, and other fields, its elegance never goes out of style. However, mining will disrupt the ecosystem and causes environmental pollution, and limited mineral resources result a high prices. Our BKT37 has  solved these problem.

These black slate patio tiles are made from natural materials such as sand, feldspar, and clay, making it more cost-effective than natural stone. It is environmentally friendly with zero pollution, recyclable, and has been awarded the title of Green Building Material. Moreover, they have outstanding performance.

Product Performance

These outdoor slate floor tiles are formed by firing at 2000℃ high temperature with a dense structure, which endows they with high hardness. They come in varies specifications, the 300×900×18mm thick ones achieves a breaking strength of 7000N and a flexural strength of 42MPa. Additionally, it features crack-resistant glaze, frost resistance, wear resistance, and acid-alkali resistance. These properties allow it to maintain excellent performance and durability even in outdoor environments with high foot traffic, high pressure, and complex, variable conditions.

Production technology

Unlike other models in the same series (BKT31, 32, 33, 35), which are granite-imitated porcelain tiles with a fine bush-hammered surface, the BKT77 adopts a flamed surface. The flamed surface is also a processing technique for natural Fuding Black stone, creating a rough, anti-slip surface through high-temperature spraying—an effect we replicate using molds. Furthermore, we add anti-slip dry particles to the surface, resulting in a slip resistance rating exceeding R11 for the entire tile surface.
